Will this interfere with the regionals?

Comment by SICFIT on October 29, 2013 at 6:09am
Probably not but not certain. Traditionally Regionals have been over by the first week of June but you never know. HI is lumped in with N.Cal and based on the last 2 years they have competed in early May.

There is No True Athlete

The question of the best athlete in the world is more complicated than medal counts.
A few weeks back when the Olympics were in the news, I wrote a piece comparing two great Olympians: Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps. Both had won multiple medals over a number of (slightly) different disciplines. One comment on that article reminded me that I should be looking at another event in order to determine the best Olympian in history.

Comfort Fuel: Chicken and Wild Rice Crockpot Meal

This balance of carbohydrates and protein is the comfort fuel that will get any athlete through a busy winter season.

Classic comfort is a meal in a slow cooker. The moment cool weather begins to set in, I am immediately in what I call “crockpot mode.”

A countless number of meals have been prepared via slow cooker and served up deliciously warm and cozy around my kitchen table. Cooking with a slow cooker has become a staple for active families because of the set-and-forget ease in which a delicious home cooked meal comes together.

How to Train Around a Bum Foot

If you find yourself benched by a foot injury, it's not an excuse to stop training.

What has 52 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, 19 muscles and tendons, and about 250,000 sweat glands? Some people may call them dogs, clodhoppers, and piggly wigglys but I like to keep it simple and just call them my feet. They are so important for locomotion that the first shoes were fashioned out of animal skins 5,000,000 years ago during the Ice Age just to protect them. Since then, some of the most advanced technology in the world has been directed toward footwear, so that 25% of the bones in our body can perform and be protected.
