Quick advice on how to approach the 1000 meter row after doing an insane amount of HSPU's. CrossFit Regionals WOD #1

Former Lightweight Women's Coach-Loyola Maramount University

A Boston native, Conway has been rowing since the age of 12, and was a junior national champion in 1992 in the women's eight. She competed at Tufts University in Medford, MA from 1994-1998, where she was the team captain her senior year. She continues to row and currently competes in the lightweight single. Conway was the Masters National Champion in the Women's A Light Single in 2003 and a 2007 Masters National Champion in the Women's AA Quad.

Fly Wheel Fitness, Owner:

Sara-Mai Conway is the owner of Flywheel Fitness, and also teaches classes. A rower since the age of 12, Sara-Mai first competed on a national championship high school team, and continues to compete on a national level, having won two USRowing Masters National Championships (2003 and 2006), three championship titles at the prestigious San Diego Crew Classic (2007, 2008, 2009), and three top-5 finishes at the Head of the Charles Regatta (2002, 2006, 2009). Ms. Conway has also had considerable success as a coach. Over an eight year career coaching Division I Women's Rowing, Sara-Mai has led teams to several regional titles as well as a 2008 National Championship. Sara-Mai has a masters in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco and is a Level III USRowing certified coach. Although she takes great pride in the accomplishments of her athletes who have followed their dreams to row for the US National Team, her greatest satisfaction is in the every day challenge of turning someone on to the sport of rowing and seeing the subtle (and not-so-subtle) changes that take place as people discover their inner athlete.
